Local Councils

How can Eastern Community Homes work with our local council?

Training and resources for local councils

Every local council is different. Therefore, they will all have different knowledge and experience of community-led housing.

We will work with councils over the next two years and boost their awareness through meetings and training.

This website will provide helpful resources for councils to view. After this, they can share with their members as they wish.

Funding Local Community-Led Housing

We will source funding to support local schemes by working with councils and communities in their areas.

Direct support for those interested in
community-led housing

We have worked with a range of investors to create a partnership that offers greater support to those interested in community-led housing in the East of England.

Eastern Community Homes will work with local communities and help to solve their housing problems.

We will support communities, so that they can build affordable new homes for those with local incomes.

A full range of our support for communities can be found on our services page.

Housing is a top priority for many local councils and authorities.

Until now, communities have had to work with various bodies for the support they need to deliver community-led housing.

The services these groups need will now be merged to form one source called Eastern Community Homes. This will be an independent, not-for-profit Hub for the East of England.

Support for local councils and communities

We will find opportunities for local community-led housing groups once they are formed. Following that, we will offer a range of advice and support from group setup to completion on site.

Communities will be given solutions fit for their goals. As a result, we can offer bespoke, expert guidance throughout.

In the same way that current affordable housing scheme fees are paid, these services will be paid-for.
