About us
Eastern Community Homes (ECH) was created as a regional partnership to promote and enable community-led housing across the East of England. It brought together local Rural Community Councils and experts committed to supporting groups to develop affordable homes shaped by local people, for local people.
ECH played an important role in raising awareness, offering advice, and helping communities take their first steps toward creating housing that meets real local needs.
What’s changed?
Due to the end of dedicated funding, the Eastern Community Homes partnership is no longer actively delivering services. However, the organisations that formed ECH remain committed to supporting community-led housing and continue to offer services individually where possible.
ECH remains as a network in name, ready to respond if new funding opportunities arise in future.
Need help now?
Please contact your local Rural Community Council or community housing enabler directly for support. Each organisation continues to offer advice and support, on their own terms, and may be able to provide consultancy services if needed.
